Founder and CEO Dave Scarangella has over 30 years of experience in these areas, starting out as an award-winning writer and editor for daily newspapers in Roanoke, Martinsville, and Lynchburg, VA. Ten years after graduating from Virginia Tech, he returned to school to earn an MBA from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro; the next 25 years were in the furniture industry, as he held titles such as National Sales Manager, Field Sales and Marketing Manager, Vice President of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer for well-known brand names such as Thomasville, Bassett and Rowe Furniture.
The last decade has seen DDA Marketing engage with local businesses ranging from manufacturing and retail operations to non-profits and local government.
A die-hard sports fan, Scarangella is also an active blogger, writing about Virginia Tech and Washington professional sports on DullesDistrict.Com. He is equally as active on Twitter/X/Whatever Elon Musk is now calling it across three accounts: @DaveScarangella, @DullesDistrict, and @WonderBeagle1, a site for Dave’s beloved WonderBeagle, Maggie.
